Dear ALL local colleagues,
Very glad that we have more than 370 registered participants and 56 posters for the event! The conference has gathered a super strong list of plenary speakers and Asia-pacific speakers to discuss the most burning issues in epigenetics including DNA methylation/demethylation, non-coding RNA, cancer epigenetics, epigenetic in development and chromatin remodeling.
It’s for sure to be the best epigenetics meeting in Asia-pacific region in 2013!
We welcome Non- or Onsite registered participants to enter the venue after 8:50 am during the meeting time from Nov 6 to 8.
Postdocs and students PLEASE try our best to stay in the conference, raise questions during the talks and interact with our distinguished speakers. We like to express our highest admiration to these who significantly advanced our knowledge of life science! And most importantly, we like to show the greatest power/passion of science in Taiwan to our foreign guests!
All are also welcome to attend the following Satellite Seminars:

Here I like to highlight some of our speakers to you.
Six world leading scientists will give plenary speeches:
Howard Y. Chang, HHMI Early Career Scientist, a young star and leading scientist in long non-coding RNA, originally from Taiwan.
Thomas Jenuwein, a pioneer and leading scientist in histone methylation (identified the first SET domain histone methyltransferase) and heterochromatin, selected by Science Watch as Top 10 High Impact Author in the world in the fields of Molecular Biology and Genetics from 2002 to 2006.
Robert G. Roeder, a member of the National Academy of Sciences, 2003 Winner of Lasker Award, the Founding Father of eukaryotic transcription who identified three eukaryotic RNA polymerases in 1969 and established the transcription field.
Hiroyuki Sasaki, a pioneer and leading scientist in genomic imprinting and development, head of Japanese Epigenetics Society.
Jerry L. Workman, a member of American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a pioneer and leading scientist in establishing the repressive role of histones in transcription, ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complexes and H3K36 methylation.
Yi Zhang, HHMI Investigator, a pioneer and leading scientist who established the fields of histone methylation/demethylation and DNA demethylation (the most burning issue), selected by Science Watch as Top 10 High Impact Author in the world in the fields of Molecular Biology and Genetics from 2002 to 2006.
Among our Asia-pacific speakers who published breakthrough studies in Cell/Nature/Science journals in last two years, Mitinori Saitou has successfully generated fertile mouse progeny from ips-eggs and sperms. Guoliang Xu, Nakano Toru and Yujiang Geno Shi made outstanding contribution to DNA demethylation mechanism and function. Bing Zhu revealed novel histone methylation regulation and histone inheritance. Other distinguished speakers have been reporting their discoveries in journals such as CNS sister journals, Genes Dev, JCI, PNAS, Cancer Res, Genome Res, JBC, etc.
Many thanks for your attention and look forward to seeing you all!
Best, Li-Jung
