OIANTU:[Chinese] General Chinese Course - 2nd Semester 2014/15 ( College/ department- level Exchange students)

Dear Incoming Exchange students,
Greetings from National Taiwan University!
For all incoming international exchange, visiting students who wish to take the NTU General Chinese Courses, you are required to arrive on Wednesday, February 25 for the registration and a placement test. Those who have never taken Chinese may be opt-out of the placement test. However you are still required to come for registration. Your absence on that day will be considered cancellation of enrollment, so it is imperative that you arrive on time. The placement test may take about one to one and half an hour after registration.
Venue: Chinese Language Division (CLD)

Registration Time: Wednesday, February 25, 9:00-12:00 noon.
What to Bring:
1) NTU student ID or admission Letter
2) Pen
For more information of the NTU General Chinese Course, please refer to the attachment. Please note that there is no need to select the General Chinese Course on the course selection system. The assigned class will show on each student’s NTU course selection results by March 1, 2015. Thank you.

For those who cannot arrive in Taiwan by February 25, you shall notify the OIA ntucie@ntu.edu.tw and come to Chinese Language Division (CLD) with your NTU admission letter and passport for the registration and make-up placement test at the following prescribed time.
Venue: Chinese Language Division (CLD)

Time for the make-up placement test:
March 2nd (Mon.), March 3rd (Tue.) or March 4th (Wed.) 2:30 p.m.
1) Registration and written test - 2:30 p.m.
2) Oral test - 3:30 p.m.
The make-up placement test is only offered to those who arrive in Taiwan later than the prescribed registration day (Feb. 25th). If you miss the registration day and placement test for other reasons, no make-up registration and make-up test are allowed and you will not be able to attend the General Chinese Course and Enhancing Course.
