Title: Coherent Quantum Dynamics of Exciton in Atomically Thin Semiconductors

Abstract:
In this talk, I will present our recent experiments on measurement of dephasing time (or equivalently, homogeneous linewidth) of excitons in monolayer WSe2. Furthermore, we performed the first direct measurement of exciton valley coherence time. These quantum dynamics happen on ~ 100-200 fs time scale. If time permits, I will also present our experiments demonstrating a single semiconductor quantum dot can control the scattering spectrum and the anisotropy of a plasmonic cavity.
