Introduction of Genentech and the Leap Program
「博士創新之星計畫」

Abstract: Genentech founded in 1976 is the first publicly-owned biotech company and later became a member of the Roche Group in 2009. Genentech has been delivering on the promise of biotechnology for more than 40 years and its major achievements include the first targeted antibody for cancer therapy and the first medicine for primary progressive multiple sclerosis. Genentech is always dedicated to pursuing groundbreaking science to discover and develop medicines for unmet medical needs. Since 2019, the department of Small Molecule Pharmaceutical at Genentech has hosted the Leap trainees sponsored by the MOST (台灣科技部). Potential candidates for this 12 month-program include those who have drug delivery experiences and are interested in learning US biotech environment.
What's LEAP?
為培育臺灣高階科技創新創業人才，引領臺灣高品質人才連結未來世界以建立我國創新平臺， 科技部推動「博士創新之星計畫」，選派具創新創業企圖心之高階人才赴美國、法國及以色列等企業、 新創公司以及知名學研機構進行專案合作研習12個月。
