感謝系辦同仁的努力不懈，即日起積學館的垃圾房（卸貨平台旁的160室）開始於每星期的工作天運作（週末及假期關閉），時間從早上8:30至晚上7:00。清運公司將於晚上7:00與8:00之間，到積學館清運廢棄物。該公司表示，由於不確定化學系師生會否落實垃圾分類，且擔心垃圾房出現實驗室廢棄物，因此他們只答應幫忙一個月，再評估是否與化學系簽合約。因此，垃圾房只處理積學館內與食品相關之一般及可回收之廢棄物。

紙類回收區設於原垃圾區（有瓷磚之空間），只存放以下兩種紙類廢棄物：1. 運貨用之空紙箱，請壓平；2. 置於紙箱之文件類廢紙。沾有食物之紙類廢棄物，應作一般廢棄物棄於垃圾房內。

其他廢棄物，請各實驗室自行於下午3:00到學校指定地點清運。

垃圾房已安裝監視錄影器，若發現任何人士在垃圾房棄置非食品類廢棄物，或於紙類回收區棄置有食物殘渣之廢棄物，系辦將公開相關之監視錄影畫面以釐清責任歸屬問題。也請大家互相提醒，確實進行垃圾分類。若清運公司拒絕與化學系簽約，本系垃圾房可能被迫回復於每日下午2:45後停止運作。

Dear all:

Thanks to the unremitting  efforts of the colleagues in the department office, the garbage room of the Chemistry building (room 160 next to the loading platform) will start to operate on weekdays (closed on weekends and holidays), from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm. The disposal company will come at a time between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm. The company stated that because they were not sure whether we would implement garbage sorting properly, and were worried about laboratory waste in the garbage room, they only agreed to help for one month before evaluating whether to sign a contract with the Department of Chemistry. Therefore, the garbage room only handles the general and recyclable waste related to food.

The paper recycling area is located in the original garbage area (the space with tiles), and only stores the following two types of paper waste: 1. Empty cartons for shipping, please flatten them; 2. Document waste paper placed in cartons. Paper wastes stained with food should be disposed of in the garbage room as general waste.

For other wastes, each laboratory should dispose them at the designated place of the school at 3:00 pm.

The garbage room has installed a surveillance video device. If anyone is found to have disposed of non-food waste in the garbage room, or disposed of waste with food residue in the paper recycling area, the department office will disclose the relevant surveillance video images to clarify the issue of responsibility. Please also remind each other to sort the garbage properly. If the removal company refuses to sign a contract with the Department of Chemistry, the department's garbage room may be forced to close after 2:45 pm every day.
