NTU Chemistry Department Graduate Graduation Awards - Yen's Thesis Award
一、申請資格(Eligibility)
- 112學年度(2023.8.1-2024.7.31)畢業之本系碩、博士班學生。
MPhil or PhD students who will graduate from our department in the current school year.
- 申請人須於113年6月21日前完成論文口試，且申請時以不超過畢業時間一年（以畢業文憑為準）並以一次為限。
Applicants must pass their oral defense before June 21st, 2024, and apply within one year of their graduation date (based on the diploma), limited to one attempt.
二、申請時間(Registration period)
113年05月1日至113年06月21日。
May 1st to June 21st.
三、報名方式(Online Application)
以網路方式報名，經系上通知申請者，經由NTUCOOL上傳相關資料完成報名。
Complete the application form online first.
Please expect to receive the course invitation from NTUCOOL within approximately one business day after registration. Once you've received the invitation, you can upload your documents.

五、名額及獎金(Award Information)
- 名額(上限)：博士班 3 名及碩士班 5 名。
Quota: 3 for doctoral program and 5 for master program.
- 顏氏博士論文獎：每名獲頒獎金10萬元及頒贈獎狀乙紙。
顏氏碩士論文獎：每名獲頒獎金4萬元及頒贈獎狀乙紙。
Yen's Thesis Award (PhD)：NT$100,000 each and a certificate
Yen's Thesis Award (MPhil)：NT$40,000 each and a certificate
六、審查及核定程序(Review Process)：
由評審委員會根據送審資料及申請者口頭報告說明，擇優選出顏氏論文獎得獎人。
Selection by the review committee is based on the submitted materials and the applicants' performance in their oral presentations.
評審委員會，依下列方式評定之。
- 初審：根據NTUCOOL上傳申請資料線上審查。
Online review of application materials uploaded to NTUCOOL.
- 複審：6月28日以口頭報告方式參加複審。
- 博士班：暫訂每人20分鐘，含報告15分鐘，提問5分鐘。
- 碩士班：暫訂每人15分鐘，含報告10分鐘，提問5分鐘。
The second-round review will be conducted in person on June 28th.
- PhD Program: Tentatively scheduled for 20 minutes per person, including a 15-minute presentation and a 5-minute question period.
- MPhil Program: Tentatively scheduled for 15 minutes per person, including a 10-minute presentation and a 5-minute question period.
七、得獎公佈(Awardee List)：
7月9日公告並 E-Mail 通知得獎人。
On July 9th, winners will be announced and notified via email.
八、頒獎典禮(Award Ceremony)：
- 7月19日13:30至17:00於化學系松柏講堂舉行頒獎典禮，典禮中由得獎人進行10分鐘論文報告，並由顏氏夫婦親自頒發獎狀及獎金。
On July 19th, from 13:30 to 17:00, the award ceremony will be held at the Song-Pei Lecture Hall of the Department of Chemistry.
Each awardee will give a 10-minute presentation. Certificates and monetary prizes will be presented by Mr. and Mrs. Yen.
- 晚宴：17:00至21:00由微相科技公司主辦，邀請獲獎人(限攜家人1-2人)、歷屆得獎系友及教職員工與您共享倍感光榮的時刻(晚宴地點另行通知)。
Banquet: From 17:00 to 21:00, hosted by Micro Lithography Inc., awardees and their 1-2 family members, previous award recipients, and all department PIs are invited. (The venue for the dinner will be announced separately).
九、本公告如有未盡事宜，悉依本校及本系相關規定辦理。
If there are any unaddressed matters, they will be handled according to the university and department regulations.
