以下為近期環安衛事件及說明。

2/26下午，同學於A311室使用雙85型恆溫恆溼設備(儀器內部溫度為攝氏85度，濕度為85%)，於15:12分因打開儀器，造成大量水蒸氣觸發警報。於15:14分有人員前往現場處理。此儀器於2025年搬遷至A311室，因儀器位於感應器正下方，首次使用儀器時須於溫度85度與濕度85%時使用，故產生大量水蒸氣而觸發警報。

經該實驗室與原廠技師確認，若實驗需求可於儀器內部溫度為85度與濕度為85%時打開儀器門，但須佩戴面罩與隔熱手套，且須有一人陪同使用，同時將搬遷雙85儀器至適當位置，避免操作儀器產生之水蒸汽再次觸發警報，該實驗室將更新設備使用之SOP，以免再次發生類似事件，系辦建議使用該類設備的實驗室亦注意操作流程與擺放位置。

Below please find a brief account of the recent EHS event happened in our department.

On the afternoon of Feb 26, a student used the dual 85°C constant temperature and humidity equipment (internal temperature  85°C and humidity of 85%) in room A311. At 15:12, the equipment was opened, causing a large amount of steam to trigger the alarm. Personnel arrived at the scene to handle the situation at 15:14. This equipment was relocated to room A311 in 2025, and since it is positioned directly under the sensor, the equipment is used at 85°C and 85% humidity for the first time at the new site, a large amount of steam is generated, which triggered the alarm.

After confirmed with the manufacturer’s technician, it was determined that if the experimental requirements necessitate opening the equipment door while the internal temperature is 85°C and humidity is 85%, it is allowed, but face masks and heat-insulating gloves must be worn, and there must be at least one person accompanying the user. Additionally, the dual 85 equipment will be relocated to a more appropriate position to avoid triggering the alarm again due to steam generated by the operation of the equipment. The laboratory will update the SOP for equipment use to prevent similar incidents in the future. The department office also suggests that laboratories using such equipment pay close attention to the SOP and placement of the equipment.
