3/10傍晚17:50左右，A317室內的電熱水瓶自動煮沸，其蒸氣觸發正上方之感應器導致警報，人員於18:05左右開鎖視察現場，當天已將插頭拔除。該電熱水瓶約於一週前搬遷至該位置，因之前煮沸時皆在白天窗戶開啟時，因此並未發現熱水瓶裝置的位置有此潛在問題，已於實驗室休息區中移除該類設備。由於已有數起蒸氣觸發正上方感應器的案例，系辦已請各單位（實驗室、貴儀、科推中心、學生休息室、辦公室）自行檢視改善。

Dear all,

On the evening of March 10th, around 17:50, the electric kettle in A317 automatically boiled, and its steam triggered the sensor above, causing the fire alarm. Personnel unlocked the door and inspected the scene around 18:05, and the plug was removed that day. The electric kettle had been relocated to this site about a week ago. Since it had been boiling during the day when the windows were open, the potential issue with the kettle's location had not been noticed. The electric kettle has now been removed from the laboratory's break area. Due to several incidents where steam triggered the sensor above, the department office has asked all units (laboratories, Instrumentation Center, SPEC, student's offices, and other offices) to inspect and improve first.
