The ISP (International Summer Program) offers students a unique chance to experience research life before pursuing regular courses or joining international programs such as SISC, IPC, or DDP at GSS.

■Notes for the 2026 ISP
1. The application period is about two weeks earlier than the 2025 ISP.
2. Scholarships: Scholarships are available for selected students. Please visit the 2026 ISP website for details.
3. Tuition Fee Waivers: As our Faculty of Science and your institution have an MOU for Student Exchange, selected students from your university can participate in the ISP tuition-free.
 Detailed procedures for tuition waivers are outlined in the attached leaflet.

■Program Highlights
The ISP at UOsaka is a hands-on research internship designed for international students majoring in natural sciences and related fields.
Participants will:
       -Conduct thematic studies under the guidance of host professors at GSS, through experiments, team discussions, and collaborative group work.
       -Gain exposure to cutting-edge research while exploring Japanese culture through social and cultural activities.
       -At the end of the program, students will present their research achievements and receive a certificate of completion.

■Eligibility
The ISP is open to undergraduate and Master's degree students enrolled in universities outside Japan during the program period.
Applicants must major in fields such as physics, chemistry, biological sciences, mathematics, macromolecular science, or earth and space sciences.

■Timeline (All dates in JST)
* Application period: December 8, 2025 (1 PM) - January 13, 2026 (1 PM)
* Selection results: Late March to late April 2026
* VISA arrangements: Late April to June 2026
* Arrival in Osaka: July 16, 2026
* Final Presentation & Farewell: August 26, 2026 (subject to change)
* Departure: August 27 or 28, 2026
