Dear NTU,
We are delighted to announce that UGA is launching its annual call for international doctoral and postdoctoral research projects: The International Excellence and Outreach call for projects 2026.
As you may know, this call prioritizes our strategic partners, including National Taiwan University.
Three funding options are proposed:
· Three-year doctoral contract co-funded by UGA and the international partner (under a cotutelle and/or a co-supervision arrangement)
· Postdoctoral fellowship co-funded by UGA and the international partner, lasting between 12 and 24 months. Half of the duration under an UGA contract and the other half under a contract with the partner.
· Matching PhD: One matching Phd project funded by UGA and a second doctoral project funded by the international partner. This arrangement applies only to projects involving UGA’s strategic partners.
Successful applicants will also receive up to EUR 15,000 in additional funding (EUR 5,000 per year) to cover travel expenses and the organisation of research activities (workshops, conferences, seminars, etc.).

The timeline of the call is as follows:
- December 1, 2025: Publication of the call
- February 27 at 12 – noon (CET), 2026: Submission deadline
- March 13, 2026 - April 27, 2026: Evaluation period including assessment by the international partner
- Mid-June 2026: Publication of results
Webinars will be held on the following dates:
Ø Monday, January 12, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m (CET)
Ø Thursday, February 5, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m (CET)
